Every two years the Automobile Club de Monaco holds
the Grand Prix Historique de Monaco in the week
before the Grand Prix proper.
It has quickly become one of the top events of its kind in Europe. About eight races are held over the day, divided by age and type of car. The earliest cars to race date back to the the 1930s, the most recent the 1970s.
Plenty of classic Bugattis, Jaguars and Ferraris and many other makes which have long since left the world of motor racing. The video gives a flavour of the 2004 races.
You can inspect these beautiful machines in the port before the races.
